Afro Fusion is a type of dance style which combines the African dance techniques with other dance genres to create a new dance impression, is a blend of dances and fitness principles, a blend of dance genres of the African descent with other influences such as hip hop, West African, Caribbean, Latin and Funky!

Adesuwa Obazee was born and raised in Nigeria, Africa. She departed Nigeria when she was 11 years old and headed to the United States in 1994. As a young child, she had no choice but to dance because it was and still is a big part of her culture. She took up dance lessons and has been studying and performing the West African Dance for 10+ year with Idy Ciss, one of the choreographers of the Muntu Dance Theatre and Moustapha Bangoura, founder and choreographer of LeBagatae Dance and Drum Company. She has a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (concentrating in art) and Masters in Curriculum and Instructions. She hopes to get a deeper understanding of dancing and advance in it as well as in art. Adesuwa is also talented at Afro fusion dance, a type of dance style which combines the African dance techniques with other dance genres to create a new dance impression.
